There was this tiny dude living in a village, right? This little guy had a big dream—he wanted to train with a sword and become a super-duper warrior! So, he figured he’d find himself a rad guru to teach him the moves. That’s when he heard about this awesome sword-training guru in a nearby spot.

Right away, this little champ zoomed over to check him out. “Hey, sir! I wanna train with a sword and turn into the mightiest warrior ever! Hook me up with some skills!” he said, all excited.
The guru was like, “Cool, kid! I’ll teach you sword stuff, but only if you crash at my ashram and help me out with some chores!”
The little guy ran back to his mom and dad, told them the plan, and boom—he moved into the guru’s ashram to stay!
Every day, the guru had him doing all sorts of tasks—washing clothes, cooking grub, scrubbing dishes—you name it! And whenever the kid did anything, the guru would scold him and even give him a little smack! The poor kid was totally confused, like, “Why’s this guru hitting me outta nowhere? What’s the deal?” He just didn’t get it.
Months rolled by like that, and guess what? The guru still hadn’t taught him a single sword move! The kid started getting suspicious, thinking, “Why’s this guy making me do chores instead of teaching me sword skills?” So, he marched up to the guru and asked, “Yo, why no sword training? Why just housework?”
The guru chuckled and said, “Listen up, buddy! Sword-spinning takes mad strength from workouts, sure, but you can build that toughness doing chores like your mom does! It’s all about getting tough!”
The kid realized there was some wisdom in that, so he started rocking those chores every day with all his might. Then, one day, while the guru was chilling and meditating, the kid spotted a wooden sword nearby. Quiet as a mouse, he grabbed it and flung it at the guru!
With a tiny whoosh sound, the guru sensed it coming and ducked like a pro, dodging it smooth as butter. Opening his eyes, the guru grinned and said, “Nice try, kid! Sure, you can learn to spin a sword with tons of practice, but the real trick is dodging a blade when you don’t know where it’s coming from or when! That’s the skill you gotta master.
“That’s why I’ve been smacking you around and teaching you these moves first! If I’d shown you sword-spinning right away, you’d always expect an attack from one direction. But now? You don’t know how to spin a sword, you don’t know where a blade might hit, or from which side it’s coming—but even with a tiny move or sound, you can react like a ninja!
“Now you’re ready to start your warrior training,” the guru said. The kid finally got it—the guru had been teaching him defense moves all along! He was over the moon with joy.
From then on, he kept training with the sword and turned into a total warrior champ!
